Curriculum
Dr. Andrea Ricci graduates from University of Perugia in 1996.
After a three years training program he achieved the Certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Since 1999 he limits his practice to prosthodontics, periodontology and implant dentistry with special emphasis to the aesthetic areas.
His office in one the Leading Dental Centers of the World.
He is the Scientific Director of IDEAT (Institute of Dental Education and Therapy).
He is an Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), Active Member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED), Active Member of the Italian College of Prosthodontics (ICP) and an Associate Member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry (AARD).
Co-author of several papers published in international journals.
He has lectured extensively in Europe, in the United States and in Japan.

A "live" course to see how Dr. Andrea Ricci and Dr. Christian Coachman utilize tep-by-step the DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN protocols during different phases of the treatments.
Patients will be selected in order to demonstrate different phases of esthetic treatments solved with the DSD protocol such as: photographic examination, video interview, the DSD Treatment Planning, the final impression, all the laboratory steps, the esthetic try-in and the final cementation.
This program can be modified according to the educational needs.

Full Immersion Fixed Prosthodontic Course

The objective of the course is to present the principles, the protocols and the materials that Dr. Andrea Ricci utilizes to achieve functional and esthetic outcomes for any prosthetic rehabilitations.
The course is thought for all the colleagues who are aiming not only to obtain a proper functional treatment for their patients but also to an esthetic outcome without compromising the longevity of the rehabilitation.
Special emphasis will be given to the management of soft tissues and to the solutions for periodontally treated patients.
Highlights of this course are the interactive sessions such as the Treatment Planning, the Hands-on and the Live sessions.
There will be sessions for Treatment Planning where after an initial presentation of the case, there will be time for discussions with the participants on the options, the materials, and the protocols that could be adopted to solve the cases. After an initial discussion, Dr. Andrea Ricci will present his treatment completion.
On request, participants can present cases during the treatment planning sessions.

"Course on Digital Photography and Video Recording"

The course, mainly practical, has as main objective to allow the participant to calibrate correctly the equipment, understand the techniques, the protocol, and the management of the files obtained in order to complete in a very short time a technically correct and emotional photographic and video documentation.
Immediately after the course, participants, will be able to organize a nice presentation (utilizing Keynote or Powerpoint) that could be used to communicate with the patient the esthetic and clinical issues, communicate with the members of the team and, for those who may be interested, to prepare a nice presentation for lectures or courses.
In addition, the sequence and the techniques for the pictures required for the Digital Smile Design (DSD) will be described in details.
For these reasons the course is designed for all the colleagues that are looking for improvement.
Clinical Pictures and videos help to improve many aspects of our profession and have many advantages:
1. We can learn from pictures and videos!
2. Pictures and videos are the best clinical chart!

The Objective of this course is to combine a comprehensive and practical course with an interesting and unforgettable week-end in Florence.
Practical topics and take home messages that can be applied immediately in each own office will be discussed. Surgical but mainly restorative protocols, materials, techniques will be covered in details as well as concepts and thinking processes which are the key to be successful.
During the course basic principles, but yet critical, will be reviewed together with advanced concepts and procedures that allow the clinician to obtain the best outcome possible from both surgical and restorative procedures.
