WHY FOLLOW THIS COURSE?

A simple but sistematic protocol will be described in order to capture photos that will allow to quickly and accurately perform (approximately 1 hour) the DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN.

A new approach to dynamically and statically document all the informations necessary for a modern and complete Esthetic Diagnosis.

A simplified method to highlight problems, to visualize solutions, even before making diagnostic impressions.

In few minutes and through simple steps is possible to visualize the required pictures necessary to diagnose the esthetic problems and to plan the solutions to solve esthetically the case

The conventional technique to pre-visualize the esthetic outcome (Mock-Up) requires a wax-up generally done by the dental technician following the instructions given by the dentist. This procedure ends up being not very convenient from a logistic, economic standpoint as well as leaving room for misunderstanding between the clinician, the technician and the patient.

The "virtual wax-up" allow, just in few minutes, to evaluate the position, the shape and the dimensions of the teeth and surrounding tissues, consequently the patients can understand what are our objective of treatment.

The DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN allow to share with the technician accurate measurements taken, analyzed and verified on the clinical pictures. This way the chances of mistakes or remakes are minimized and therefore teh classic wax-up can be completed smoothly.

Though the DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN the communication between all the members of the Team is extremely simplified, even if all far away from each other.

All the techniques, the softwares and the tricks utilized and tuned up by the speakers will be described in order to facilitate the interdisciplinary communication.

The preview of the final outcome before starting the treatment and before any irreversible procedure as well as before and conventional step (wax-up or setup) together with the patient present several advantages:

- The patient participate actively to the planning of his/her case

- The patient appreciates the effort dedicated to his/her treatment planning by the dentist and the other members of the team because he/she is aware of the "back-stage" of a treatment and the complexity related

- The patient, in this way, commit to a treatment having a better idea of what he/she will have to go though.

Keynote is now used as a "Digital Chart".

Pictures, radiographs, lines, notes, audio comments and much more are embedded into the slides...

All this is an incredibly efficient way of saving our datas.

* Coffee Breaks will be served in the morning and afternoon.

Light lunchs of the three days  and dinner on the first day are included in the registration fee

THE COURSE WILL BE IN ENGLISH,

REQUIRED MATERIAL

- Portable Computer (Mac or Pc) with mouse and power cable

- Presentation Software (Keynote for Mac or Powerpoint 2010 for PC... be sure to have 2010 version since older versions do not have the tools necessary to perform the DSD protocol)

- Photo Camera, with batteries, power cable and computer connection cable

- Digital Video Camera (opzional) with power cable and computer connection cable

The registration include all the coffee breaks, 3 light lunchs and one dinner.

A high-level catering will provide the complimentary meals.
